What the Rías Baixas are
The Rías Baixas are the four estuaries of southern Galicia — Vigo, Pontevedra, Arousa and Muros e Noia. The sea reaches deep inland, leaving sheltered beaches, fishing harbours and the seafood the region is famous for. Inland, the Albariño vineyards.
Where to stay, and how long it takes
There is no single price for the Rías Baixas: the coast runs for dozens of kilometres, and the price is that of your destination. The three most popular have published fixed prices:
Baiona is the closest, about 120 kilometres away, with the Monterreal fortress and the replica of the caravel Pinta. Pontevedra, about 175, has one of the best-preserved old towns in Galicia. Sanxenxo, just over 200, is the beach capital of the estuary. For anywhere else, get a price when you book.
The route follows the motorway and crosses the border at Valença and Tui. There is no border control, but carry ID.

Can the vehicles carry surfboards or bikes?+
It depends on the class and the size. Mention it in the booking notes so we choose the right vehicle.
Do I need documents to cross the border?+
There is no border control, but you must carry an ID card or passport.
